Our Team
Hakim Noah, LMT
Hakim grew up in Leverett, Massachusetts. He has explored many beautiful places around the world but kept coming back to the valley and the hills that raised him. Hakim has a deep attunement to the Earth and especially the fungal kingdom. His coaching work is centered around bringing this way of Being and Seeing to others, so we can experience ourselves as part of the One consciousness that lives in all.
Through bodywork and Foundation Training, Hakim seeks to help his clients decompress the body by working with the fascia — the mycelium-like web which flows through and wraps around all the muscles, organs, and structures of the body.
Hakim attended college in Bar Harbor, Maine, at College of the Atlantic where he received a transdisciplinary B.A in Human Ecology. His senior thesis took him to the Brazilian Amazon, where he studied the Santo Daime — a syncretic religious movement from Brazil. Upon returning to the U.S., Hakim remained in Bar Harbor where he attended Acadia School of Massage, and earned his title as Licensed Massage Therapist in 2019. He is the owner of Amherst Massage Therapy.
Called to live a life of service and spiritual growth from a young age, Hakim has a deep commitment to furthering the purposes of love and light on the earth. Hakim has been a student of GurujiMa since the time he was born, learning to integrate spirituality into each moment of life. His bodywork is part of this soul-driven mission, and exists outside of any one religious or spiritual tradition but rather seeks to bring each being into communion with the light which flows within each of us and within all.
In his free time Hakim can be found playing accordion, rock climbing, ice-bathing, hiking, and listening to mushrooms.
Igor Reis
Igor Reis, a Civil Engineering graduate from Brazil, found his true calling in the field of massage therapy. He is currently studying at The Massage School in Boston and is completing his externship hours as a massage therapist. In addition to massage therapy, Igor is a devoted practitioner of spiritual arts, holding a Reiki 2 certification and having a strong connection with ayahuasqueira traditions, particularly Santo Daime. He believes that healing the body begins with healing the mind and spirit, and his approach always focuses on integrating these elements.
